The guardian has published excellent supplements this week on the UK FACTFILES from ECONOMY – ENVIRONMENT and TRANSPORT – HEALTH – POLITICS. The graphics are taken form statistical information based on values over a wide range of subjects and issues. Graphics are simple but very bold which provide immediate visual impact.
It also compareds UK statistics witha worldwide perspective. On page 18 of the TRANSPORT supplement published on Wednesday 28 April it shows that in 2004 the UK only had 2% of journeys made by BICYCLE in comparison to the NETHERLANDS which had a BICYCLE journey useage of 27%.
On page 14-15 of the same datablog the graphic about AIRTRAVEL is very clear and boldly shows volume of traphic in a visual method.
