Here is a daft idea really  –  imagine combining Nice in the south of France with Kirkcaldy in the south of Fife ?

Topographically, Kirkcaldy and Nice are different yet quite similar. In terms of aspect, they both have waterfronts, pedestrian promenades, dual carriageways and having visted both places, they have an essence of familiarity.

The approach from Kinghorn, just as the vista to kirkcaldy comes into view, it could have an essence of the seafront of Nice, in the south of France. The climate and scale is different, that is clear, but on a good summer’s day, Kirkcaldy could be related to its mediterranean alter ego.
